The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to join a growing tax team at a pivotal stage of its growth journey. Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, we are recruiting a Director/Senior Manager to join the VAT team. This role offers the successful candidate the chance to accelerate their knowledge, skills, and development within a creative, entrepreneurial, and supportive team, working with a wide range of fantastic clients.
The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to serve a variety of international and domestic clients across diverse sectors. A key aspect of the role will be collaborating with existing indirect tax senior management to develop and enhance the firm’s indirect tax service offering.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technically sound, clear, and commercially-focused advice on indirect tax matters.
- Manage a portfolio of indirect tax clients and oversee a compliance portfolio.
- Work with senior management to develop and grow the firm’s indirect tax service offering.
- Contribute to the operational management of the tax business, taking responsibility for specific areas as required.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other member firms on cross-border projects and business development initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of technical knowledge and training of staff on indirect taxes.
About the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a management role in practice.
- Comprehensive VAT technical knowledge and experience.
- Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.
- A track record of business development, with the ability to convert relationships into fee-paying work.
- Self-motivated and capable of leading a team.
- A strong team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
